FastPitch Competition
The FastPitch competition is for students, academics and entrepreneurs. If you are a promising student or academic entrepreneur, or a local entrepreneur trying to start or an existing business seeking to develop a new idea then FastPitch is designed for you.
About the Competition
The program is designed to identify promising local entrepreneurs and gain community resources to help start new ventures and grow existing ones in order to impact on the local economy. The concept allows for entrepreneurs to make a three-minute presentation of their innovative venture ideas and be assessed as to the viability of the venture by local community leaders and academic professionals. The most promising venture ideas are further encouraged, supported, and hopefully funded stimulating local economic development.
In 2012 the first stage applications will be judged by a panel drawn from the organizers and participants will then be invited to submit full one

During the event judges drawn from local business angel investors and successful entrepreneurs will judge each pitch and the two-page executive summary. Prizes in the form of money and services will be awarded to the winning pitches. All contestants will have the opportunity to present to prospective investors and the outright winner will win $1,250.
